The BP-51 is a user adjustable internal bypass 4WD shock absorber that delivers increased comfort and control; both on and off road. All BP-51 shock absorbers are designed and manufactured in-house by ARB using state of the art machining and hard anodizing equipment. The body of a BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured using 6061 anodized aluminium to dissipate heat more efficiently than steel or alloy steel and provide superior corrosion resistance. Extensive dyno, real world and destructive testing has been undertaken during the development process to ensure that reliability, longevity and performance all meet ARB’s impeccable standards. Old Man Emu suspension systems have always focused on ride quality rather than ride height and this new line of shock absorbers includes some of the latest shock valving technology achieving a whole new level of ride quality. When undertaking 4×4 remote area travel, the need to carry sufficient fuel, water, vehicle spares and safety equipment invariably means that your 4WD will be fully loaded, placing a lot of strain on suspension components. The complete Old Man Emu suspension range incorporates more than just 4×4 shock absorbers and springs. At OME, we take integration to the highest level with our own selection of bushes, U-bolts, center bolts, spring liners, trim packers and suspension fitting kits. ARBs Greaseable Shackle Kits feature a unique, easy bolt together assembly that eliminates out of angle shackle pin to side plate problems. Should your Old Man Emu 4WD suspension system include the fitment of Old Man Emu leaf springs, these leaf spring bushes require periodic lubrication to ensure longevity. OME greaseable shackles and pins facilitate this task without the need to remove the shackles, thereby greatly reducing the time and effort involved.
